Wrasslin'!

Well, it's that time again...yeah...not a fan of my entry this round. I just tried to do too much. It's been good to learn with this but.... my greyscale is scattered and hurts my head to look at, and sometimes I wish I had more space for dialogue. Anyways, above is the link to the black and white strip with no dialogue. And with this link right here you can see the new strip. (it should be up shortly) I think if I limit myself to 3 or 4 panels will help, and 4 panels is even a stretch...oh well.

I too had trouble wanting to cram a bunch into my older Wrestling Theatre strips. Sometimes you can wrangle it, but lately I've found trying to simplify my story ideas makes for a better strip. It sucks to have to cut out some great ideas you might have, but sometimes you can recycle them later down the road.

By the way, it's nice to see the strips in progress here. Your style's so loose it's nice to see a little bit of the process.

Glad you like seeing the work in progress. I'm kinda stupid about how I do these strips. I thumb them out real loose and draw all the elements seperate without border frames, than frame tham in photoshop. So even BEFORE words might cover art up, some art gets cut out!

Yeah, it helps to keep it simple. Looking back on this strip I felt it was neccesary to bring the strip back under control.

Obviously the strip should travel, but I think too many leaps of logic can hurt it.

I've been thinking about posting my personal mental list of Rules for the Jam Comic.
