As Wayne Spencer's historically accurate impersonation of me would say. :) ... Back in college, Next Men was just wrapping up and goddamn the book was so good for me it wasn't even funny. Byrne hadn't fell from grace yet although his Wonder Woman relaunch wasn't helping. Later, his Spider-Man: Chapter 1 damn near put me in the ground. But I defended him from all the guys at Action2Action (SCADs long since murdered comic club) and I was wrong to do so. He lost his touch and soon the grumpy old man I heard he had become was all that was left. But NextMen is still his opus and if he went back to it, I'd go back to him. IDW is releasing this huge BW volumes of NextMen and I'm all over it. So he may have fallen from grace, but this is his shiznit, pick it up.

I joined Facebook. The world can blame Dennis since he literally made the account thus slightly forcing my hand. But I dig it, it has some neat elements of Twitter and such and could be a fun time waster. Time to see if I can find a macWidget for it. :P
-----------------------------------------------
UPDATE:
Wow. So as Dennis predicted, I really like Facebook but it blows my mind. The internet is indulgent for so many of my own...I often joke that I'm not a good person and I think I am, but I awknowledge that left to my own devices my devil in my mind ALWAYS speaks before my angel. In my heart I'm a pervert, voyeur, and emo. So Facebook, man o man, what a ridiculous indulgence of voyeuristic behaviour. Like twitter I get inane and yet fascinating updates from folks. It's wild. Anyways I like it way more than MySpace.

Well, it's Javier's too. Anyways I saw this on Les' site figured I'd help pimp it, Wendy looks better nerded up than I thought she would. She's a fightin' the hotness.

Here's the second color cover for Lazarus I did. I think the colorist helped salvage some of my linework. Lately being in the studio with so many talented inkers as well as seeing the stunning inks john has been doing on the GamePointe work, I really see the flaws in my linework. They lack confidence and grace...I'd like to work on that. Anyways enough about me, Joseph Gauthier with his 10 World Studios are pimping the crap out of this book on myspace: myspace.com/10worldsstudio Making a comic book is no joke, and I think he's pushing that he made it and made it his way. Which is even harder. So you can pre*order below:

It's good. It's really good. Not surprising, the thing I'll give GTA4 is that I'm engaged all over again. The novelty of GTA wore off for me in San Andreas. San Andreas, the city was too big and largely unused and unneccesary, the characters were all boring and lame, the comedy of the games felt missing and lacking. As well as, the gangsta rap lifestyle is so tired and cliche now, had it leaned towards parody or realism it would've been fine but walking the line was tiresome.

IV shrinks the city, not drastically but just enough to not feel so segmented, car chases are more engaging and the whole city feels cohesive and its a blast to just get your stars going and go crazy. The multiplayer is awesome, i like driving people over more than anything else. My Car-Fu has mad skillz.

Also, the story is great. The whole foreigner angle revises the series to a character with a goal other than just trying to be Scarface...but you know...not die at the end.

My only gripe is that they took out the planes which seems fine until I realize that means they took out the parachutes which was one of my favorite parts. Oh well, maybe they'll add it in downloadable content.
